PLA hosted a career fair with over 22 plaintiff’s-side employers. The table talk style event allowed students to meet with attorneys so they could learn more about the different types of employers available for summer and post-grad employment.

PLA hosted an event for Berkeley students hoping to learn more about what its like to work 2L summer at a plaintiff-side firm. The event included a Q&A followed by an informal meet and greet with 2Ls and 3Ls who have previously worked in plaintiff-side firms.

PLA hosted a panel about Thakur v. Trump, the case brought against the federal government that restored research grants across the UC system. The panel featured Berkeley Law’s Claudia Polsky, and Lieff Cabraser’s Elizabeth Cabraser and Annie Wanless. Read more about the panel here.

At PLA’s employment law career workshop, Michelle Lee, a partner at Rudy Exelrod Zieff & Lowe LLP, and Drea Núñez, associate at Hunter Pyle Law, spoke to Berkeley students about how to start their career representing victims of abuse in the workplace as a plaintiff’s employment attorney.

For Berkeley students interested in learning how lawyers can play a role in advancing public health, PLA hosted an event with practitioners from Greenfire Law, Sher Edling LLP, and Dudensing law who spoke about working in elder abuse, mass torts, and environmental law.

PLA students attended a mixer hosted by Gibbs Mura, meeting some of the Bay Area’s top practitioners. Students had the opportunity to meet potential employers and learn more about the plaintiffs’ bar.
